A TV mount places the screen on the wall. A custom media wall designs the entire elevation around the screen and may include cabinetry, shelving, surface materials, lighting, cable concealment, equipment access, and an electric fireplace. Choose a mount when the screen is the only problem to solve. Choose a media wall when the room needs a focal point, storage, integrated technology, or a more architectural result.
A mount controls the screen position and may allow tilt or movement. It is usually the more direct choice when the existing wall already looks complete, storage is handled elsewhere, and visible technology can be managed without redesigning the elevation.
A media wall organizes several decisions at once: screen scale, viewing height, equipment, wiring, storage, display, lighting, materials, fireplace, and the relationship between the wall and surrounding furniture.
A mounted TV remains an object on a wall. A media wall makes the screen part of a larger composition.
A mount does not create storage. A media wall can include floating cabinetry, closed units, shelves, or full-height built-ins.
A basic mount may conceal a limited cable route. A media wall can plan cable paths, equipment ventilation, outlet locations, access panels, and future service.
A fireplace is not simply placed beneath a screen. Product clearances, heat behaviour, viewing height, ventilation, and access all need review.
A mount is typically a smaller intervention. A media wall is a designed and constructed interior feature with a broader material and labour scope.
