Privacy
Policy

Norixen Group Inc. (“Norixen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit norixen.ca, submit a project enquiry, upload project files, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our interior design, custom cabinetry, media-wall, visualization, build, and installation services.

This policy is intended to support our obligations under British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (“PIPA”) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) where it applies.

‍

‍

1. Scope

‍

This policy applies to personal information handled by Norixen through:

  • norixen.ca and its forms;
  • project enquiries, consultations, photo-estimate requests, and file uploads;
  • email, phone, text, or other direct communications;
  • design, estimating, project-planning, build, installation, and support activities; and
  • analytics, advertising, and website-security tools that are actually enabled on the website.

This policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of third-party websites, platforms, suppliers, trades, or service providers that you access directly.

‍

‍

2. Personal Information We Collect

‍

Information you provide

‍

Depending on how you interact with Norixen, we may collect:

‍

  • your name, email address, phone number, and preferred contact method;
  • your city, property type, and project location;
  • the service you are considering, such as interior design, custom cabinetry, a custom kitchen, IKEA kitchen installation, a media wall, or a fireplace media wall;
  • whether you need Design & Visualization, Build & Installation, or both;
  • approximate dimensions, desired features, budget range, preferred timing, and project notes;
  • photographs, plans, drawings, product lists, inspiration images, and other files you choose to upload;
  • consultation details, estimate requests, approvals, selections, and project communications;
  • billing, transaction, and contract information if you become a client; and
  • any other information you voluntarily provide.

Please do not upload confidential documents, government identification, financial account information, or other sensitive information that is not necessary for us to review your project.

‍

Information collected automatically

‍

When you use the website, we and our authorized service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • pages viewed and actions taken;
  • referring and exit pages;
  • approximate location derived from an IP address;
  • date, time, and duration of visits; and
  • cookie, pixel, or similar technology identifiers.

The exact information collected depends on the website, analytics, security, and advertising tools enabled at the time of your visit.

‍

‍

3. How We Collect Information

‍

We may collect personal information:

‍

  • directly from you through forms, uploads, calls, emails, messages, consultations, and project work;
  • automatically through cookies and similar technologies;
  • from a person you authorize to communicate with us;
  • from service providers supporting our website or business operations; and
  • from publicly available sources where collection is permitted by law and reasonably connected to a legitimate business purpose.

‍

4. How We Use Personal Information

‍

We may use personal information to:

‍

  • review and respond to enquiries;
  • assess project fit, scope, location, timing, and next steps;
  • prepare consultations, initial ranges, estimates, proposals, or project agreements;
  • review photos, plans, dimensions, products, finishes, and site requirements;
  • provide design, visualization, build, installation, and related services;
  • schedule meetings, site visits, deliveries, and project work;
  • communicate about approvals, changes, materials, invoices, and support;
  • maintain business, tax, accounting, warranty, and project records;
  • improve our website, forms, services, and customer experience;
  • measure website performance and advertising effectiveness;
  • prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
  • comply with legal, regulatory, insurance, and dispute-resolution obligations; and
  • send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.

We will not use personal information for a new purpose that is materially different from the purpose identified at collection unless we obtain additional consent or are otherwise permitted by law.

‍

‍

5. Consent and Your Choices

‍

By voluntarily providing personal information, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure for the purposes described at the time of collection and in this policy.

‍

You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to an enquiry, provide an estimate, continue a project, maintain requested communication, or deliver a service.

Submitting a project form authorizes Norixen to contact you about that enquiry. It does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated promotional messages. Marketing consent, where requested, should be presented separately and should not use a pre-checked box.

‍

‍

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

‍

The website may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for the following purposes:

‍

Essential technologies

‍

These support website functionality, form delivery, security, traffic management, and user preferences. Some essential technologies cannot be disabled without affecting the website.

‍

Analytics

‍

If enabled, analytics tools may help us understand how visitors find and use the website, which pages are viewed, whether forms are started or completed, and how the website performs.

‍

Advertising and conversion measurement

‍

If enabled, advertising tools may measure campaign performance, attribute enquiries, limit repeated advertising, or support relevant advertising on third-party platforms.

‍

Implementation requirement: Before publishing this section, list the actual tools in use—such as Webflow, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, a consent-management platform, and the form/file-storage provider—and configure the consent banner to match the final implementation.

You can manage cookies through the website’s consent controls, where available, and through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect website functionality. Browser-level controls do not necessarily stop all server-side or account-based measurement.

‍

‍

7. When We Share Personal Information

‍

We do not sell personal information.

‍

We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to:

‍

  • website hosting, form, file-storage, email, customer-management, analytics, security, advertising, accounting, and payment service providers;
  • designers, installers, trades, consultants, suppliers, fabricators, delivery providers, or other project participants where disclosure is necessary to assess, coordinate, or deliver an approved scope;
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors, or financing partners where appropriate;
  • a purchaser, successor, or adviser in connection with a proposed business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality measures;
  • law-enforcement, regulators, courts, or government bodies where required or permitted by law; or
  • protect the rights, safety, property, and legitimate interests of Norixen, our clients, website users, or others.

Service providers are expected to use personal information only for the services they provide to us and to protect it using appropriate safeguards.

‍

‍

8. Processing Outside British Columbia or Canada

‍

Some service providers may store or process personal information outside British Columbia or outside Canada. When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies, or government authorities in accordance with those laws.

Before publication, Norixen should identify the locations used by its actual website, form, file-storage, analytics, advertising, email, and customer-management providers.

‍

‍

9. Retention

‍

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, warranty, security, and dispute-resolution requirements.

Retention periods may vary. An enquiry that does not become a project may be retained for a shorter period than records connected to an active or completed project. When information is no longer reasonably required, we will securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it, subject to legal and technical limitations.

‍

‍

10. Security

‍

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity and amount of personal information in our control. These measures may include access controls, account security, limited internal access, secure service providers, backups, and procedures for responding to suspected privacy or security incidents.

No website, email system, file-transfer method, or storage platform is completely secure. You should send only the information reasonably necessary for your enquiry and use secure transfer methods when requested.

‍

‍

11. Access, Correction, and Privacy Requests

‍

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

‍

  • access to personal information Norixen holds about you;
  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • information about how your personal information has been used or disclosed;
  • withdrawal of consent where applicable; or
  • review of a privacy concern or complaint.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Legal exceptions may limit access in certain circumstances. If a request is refused in whole or in part, we will explain the reason where required.

To submit a request, contact our Privacy Officer using the information in Section 16.

‍

‍

12. Commercial Electronic Messages

‍

Where Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (“CASL”) applies, Norixen will send commercial electronic messages only with the required consent or another lawful basis. Marketing messages will identify the sender and include a working unsubscribe method.

You may unsubscribe using the link in a message or by contacting us. Service, estimate, project, billing, and safety communications may continue where they are necessary to respond to your request or manage an existing relationship.

‍

‍

13. Children’s Information

‍

The website and Norixen’s services are intended for adults planning or managing property-related projects. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

‍

‍

14. Third-Party Websites and Platforms

‍

The website may link to third-party websites, social networks, booking tools, maps, product pages, suppliers, or other platforms. Those organizations have their own privacy practices and terms. Norixen is not responsible for their independent policies or activities.

‍

‍

15. Changes to This Policy

‍

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our website, services, technology, vendors, or legal obligations. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent.

‍
